Annual WaWa Sum Chapter Trip

Wednesday, June 12, 2013 to Sunday, June 16, 2013
Famous WaWa Sum Lodge on the banks of the "Holy Waters" of the Au Sable River

If you haven't been to this part of Michigan, come explore the Holy Waters of the Au Sable and the birthplace of Trout Unlimited near Grayling, MI.
A must for those in search of the "Hex" hatch and adventurous night time fishing. One of the most productive and versatile fishing areas boasting streams you can straddle as well as robust float trip waters. Whether you want to catch great numbers of brookies or a single trophy brown of a lifetime, this trip is for you. We stay 4 nights at the historic Wa Wa Sum lodge. This summer retreat was a 4th generation compound that was donated to MSU for use by TU chapters and educational programs. The history of the lodge is a who's who of visitors and organizations over the years. Many of these stories will be retold while reclining in a wooden rocker at the end of the day, on the great porch of the main lodge.
For those who are interested, we also have a 1/2 day work session one morning on a nearby project with Conservation Resource Alliance. CRA is a terrific partner organization that EDTU supports financially, and we also have the opportunity to work and learn in person from their talented project managers.
The trip price includes lodging and deluxe catered breakfast and lunch from Thursday to Sunday.
