Annual Au Sable River Chapter trip

Wednesday, June 15, 2016 to Sunday, June 19, 2016
Annual trip to historic Wa Wa Sum Lodge

Our annual trip to founding location of TU and the fabled waters of the Au Sable river. This is where it all began over 50 years ago. This remains the most diverse fishery of our chapter trips with 5 different areas to fish including headwaters, main branches and lower branches. Trip also includes a half-day work event with our good friend Matt Thomas at CRA (Conservation Resource Alliance). We stay at the warmly historic WaWaSum lodge on the main branch of the " Holy Waters". Meals are catered so you simply need to show up and fish. Guides are available. Oh yeah, this area has one of the most epic evening Hex hatches in the Midwest, and from time to time our trip aligns and magic ensues. At a minimum there are steady hatches of Iso's and brown drakes at dusk to get the trout going.
Trip Cost: $350
