Overview:
Embark on a weekend of angling adventure in the heart of Wisconsin, just 4.5 hours from Chicago. From Friday to Sunday, immerse yourself in the classic Wisconsin fishing experience, perfect for those new to fly fishing or exploring the area for the first time. Stay at the Old Town Motel in Westby, with options to extend your trip for more fishing fun.
Activities:
- Group Fishing: Join fellow EDTU members and explore various quality streams within 30 minutes of the motel. Ideal for making new friends and sharing fishing techniques.
- Expert Pairing: Newcomers will be grouped with experienced members, offering insights into effective fishing in the area.
- Local Exploration: Enjoy the charming Driftless Cafe in Viroqua and other local attractions, including a park for hiking, a winery, and scenic Amish country.
- Social Gathering: Saturday night features drinks and dinner with fellow trip members and local friends at the Old Town Inn.
- Additional Opportunities: Book top-notch local fishing guides in advance for an enhanced experience.
Pricing:
Costs for the 2024 trip are still being finalized. In the past, the trip cost has been $220 for a single room and $160 for a double and has included two nights lodging and Saturday dinner. Please contact Tom Chmielewski with room requests and questions.
